Four Point Weekend for the New Orleans Pizza Peewee AE`s
The Peewee AE`s had a great weekend picking up four points, and securing third place in their division, with two key wins Nov. 15th and 16th.

Having all players back in the line-up, Friday night the team took a road trip to Ripley to play the Huron Bruce Blizzard, and came away with an impressive 4-1 win.  Scoring in the win was Ryan Hubbard with two, assisted by Max Hannon and Ryan Klumper, while Charlie Wolfe notched one, assisted by Payton Wood, and Wade Campbell added the assurance goal unassisted.

Back home Saturday afternoon, the Peewee AE`s faced off against the Arthur Vipers

Both teams kept their opponents goalies on their toes, as they peppered shots trying to  notch the first point, which would eventually come with just under 11 minutes in the second, when Charlie Wolfe picked up the puck at the hash mark from Wade Campbell to drive it in for the first goal of the game.  Setting up after the off the face off,  Ryan Hubbard assisted by Max Hannon, sent the puck over to Logan Verberne, who notched the second goal for the Meteors a mere 20 seconds later.

The latter half of the second period saw both teams spending time in the penalty box, which would haunt Arthur at the start of the third, as Elijah Bender sent a pass out to Hubbard waiting ready in front of the net, which was rebounded in by Campbell, for Mitchell`s third goal, and first power play-goal of the game.  Five seconds after Hubbard`s goal, Bender, would receive the puck from the face-off by Hubbard, for the fourth point for the home team. Charlie Wolfe walked his second goal in later in the third from Ryan Klumper, before the Blizzard found their first point on a turnover, with just over ten minutes remaining in the game.

Excellent back-checking by the defense of Bender, Jonah Gibbings, and Colby Ryan, assisted by Payton Wood, helped to keep the Vipers from sneaking a goal in on Keagan Meinen, as the Meteors fought hard to work off their time spent in the penalty box.  Call-up Rae Wolfe, netted a beauty from Hubbard for the Meteors 6
th and final point of the day, in a chippy, penalty ridden game.
